Rural Zambia
RETURN TO MAIN
I went to Zambia...
Stop number two - Peteuke Zambia - for a rural, “bush Africa” experience. No electricity, slept in tents, fires.....ahhh....the simple life. Also, Chip and I lived with a Zambian Family for three days and nights....
Pastor Henry and a family we visited.
Tyler (white), Henry (white hair)....
The road to Peteuke....
is long...
and windy...
and hilly...
...
...
and people walk it.
“the road less traveled. And not really paved.”
Huts...

Roadside stands...
Family huts...

Just chillin.
The mosque.

The tent city.

Don’t tell mom he’s droolin.
On the truck to town.
Wonder what he’s thinking?
The road...
with mountains in the background...
....
There is a lot of grass in Africa.
Imagine that!
See the elephant? I didnt either.
I never saw one.
...
Not kidding you...
...this is the road...
...to see....
The Chief of the area.
Lovely Countryside.
The granddaughter of the family who hosted us.
They asked me to take their picture.
They play in a pickup.
And leave....
and leave...
...and laugh when they see their own picture.
....
Chip showing them the digital pictures.
Tiny with his friends!
Tiny!
The mountain....
Far away...
close up!
The Village Church’s womens’ choir.
Same...
Ever wonder how to harvest sunflower seeds?
Flower + stick....
Tiny just chilled.
All the time...
on the oxcart.
Henry, Priscilla, Chip, Me, some kids....
The headwomen for the next village over...
Her son is the one on the phone.
